On Easter Sunday we had our normal family get together. Of course I rode to the gathering wanting to get as much riding in as possible. After all was said and done the temperature out was a beautiful 67 degrees. I called a buddy of mine and my Dad and we decided to take a ride on River Road. This road winds and hugs the Mississippi River and is a gorgeous ride with wonderful scenery. Riding out to my friends to pick him up, it hit me... I've never felt more free in my life. I was out in the country on a two lane highway with no one and nothing else around. I felt absolutely free. Harley Davidson and riding my motorcycle have become synonymous with Freedom. Not the freedom we have as American's but a freedom from life. A freedom from the parental responsibilities, from my job, from the everyday bullshit that we are force to put up with. Free from having to deal with the utter stupidity of most people and how they act on a daily basis.
The reason I want to be on my bike as much as possible is because that's when I feel free, the most relaxed, the one place where no one and nothing can bother me. I can't believe it took me 37 years to find this feeling. I plan on never having to be without it again.
